The Worcestershire FA held its Annual Long Service Awards Presentation Evening on 18th November 2011 at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
The Association’s Chairman, Roy Northall, formally welcomed the guests and introduced the chief guest
Roger Vaughan (FA National Referee Manager (Recruitment & Retention)) who was accompanied by his wife Hayley. Company Secretary Mervyn Leggett acted as MC for the awards.
Highlight of the evening saw Ernie Pyke receive a standing ovation as he stepped forward to receive an award for completing 50 years service to refereeing.
Ivor Chambers, the current County FA Youth Team Manager, was honoured by being presented with a Football Association Medal and Lapel Badge in recognition of completing 50 years service to Association Football, spanning involvement as a Player, Referee, Scout and Manager.
