The Worcestershire FA Football Development Plan is focussed upon ‘Start, Stay and Succeed’ and the core business of the Football Development Team focuses upon the following key outcomes: increasing participation, improving levels of performance, and widening access to football. This is achieved through three key areas of work; Club Development, Education Development and the Football Workforce.
We endeavour to ensure that all young people have the opportunity to participate in high quality football activity by developing a countywide network of Charter Standard schools with exit routes to Charter Standard clubs. We are currently working with an increasing number of partners to increase delivery capacity within the communities of Worcestershire. These partners include local authority sports development teams, the Worcestershire Sports Partnership, Primary Care Trusts and the Regional Sports Board.

Worcestershire FA is committed to Football Development - Participation Reports
The FA have produced for every local authority in the country a comprehensive set of participation data.
This is based on affiliation and compares on a regional and national basis how much of the relevant population are playing the game.
The other key area of focus is the percentage of Charter Standard teams in each area.
This has been compared to last season and will help identify where we develop football within the county. The data is available to view by clicking on your local area in the documents on the right hand side.
